How AfiaApp checks every review

Patients rely on honest feedback; clinicians deserve a fair hearing too.
Our mix of automated checks and trained moderators keeps the conversation respectful and authentic.

What guides our moderators

Two promises we make to everyone who uses AfiaApp

Authentic experiences only

We publish reviews that describe a real visit—not marketing copy or vendettas.
Automated models flag suspicious wording, duplicate accounts, and coordinated campaigns.

Neutral by design

Providers cannot pay to delete authentic feedback or inflate their own scores.
When content breaks the rules we explain the decision and point to the relevant policy.

Two-stage review flow

Every submission passes software screening, then a human when needed

1

Automated screening Signals & models

The moment you submit, our systems look for:

  • Unusual velocity, duplicate devices, or copy-paste campaigns
  • Repeated ratings from the same person or household
  • Bot-like behaviour, keyword stuffing, or obvious promos
  • Phone verification when we need to confirm you are a real patient
2

Human moderation Trust & safety

Trained reviewers read sensitive submissions for:

  • Harassment, hate, threats, or graphic content
  • Dangerous medical advice, miracle claims, or treatment instructions
  • Leaked personal data about staff, family members, or other patients
  • Follow-up questions when we need more context before publishing

Content we remove outright

The examples below never belong on AfiaApp:

  • Paid praise or smear campaigns — coordinated posts meant to boost or bury someone
  • Risky medical instructions — telling strangers to start, stop, or swap prescription drugs
  • Personal data leaks — home addresses, private phone numbers, or photos of other patients
  • Non-visits — second-hand gossip with no first-hand appointment
  • Abuse or threats — slurs, intimidation, or graphic insults toward staff

Your rights as a reviewer

AfiaApp works best when patients feel safe telling the truth

Share honest feedback

You may describe what really happened—as long as you stay factual, respectful, and within the law.

Ask for a second look

If you believe moderation was wrong, email info@afiaapp.com with your mobile number and review details.

Appeals in plain language

If your review was rejected, here is what happens next

1

Open a ticket

Email info@afiaapp.com or use the contact form with “Review appeal” as the topic.

2

Re-review

A senior moderator re-reads the thread, usually within three business days.

3

Outcome

We email you with the final decision and, when helpful, guidance on how to repost compliant feedback.

Why moderation exists

We are not trying to erase honest criticism.
We are building a space that stays safe, fair, and useful
so families across the Gulf can trust what they read before they book.

See something wrong?

If a review looks fake, abusive, or breaks the law,
flag it for our trust team—we investigate every credible report.
